The SIM240 Static Inverter Module is a precision-engineered change-over solution designed specifically for central emergency lighting systems. In installations where a static inverter feeds multiple existing mains luminaires, seamless switching between the normal supply and inverter output is critical to safety and reliability. Traditional 230 V AC change-over relays can suffer from contact arcing and potential short circuits when switching between out-of-phase supplies, risking damage to protection devices and the inverter itself. The SIM240 overcomes these issues with a carefully controlled switching sequence that ensures reliable change-over without electrical stress or interruptions to emergency lighting.
Built for robustness and simplicity, the SIM240 incorporates dual interposing relays and an integrated time delay to manage supply transitions smoothly. Its standard dimming isolation facility ensures full light output even when used with dimming drivers in emergency scenarios, supporting compliant and effective illumination during power failure events. Compact yet versatile, the SIM240 offers a practical solution for medium to large project installations requiring dependable static inverter integration.
