- We have upgraded healthcare offices throughout the country. One recent example included upgrading a 4 x 14W T5 installation to the 3E FDR Intelligent Prisma luminaires. On full output, the energy consumption was reduced from 61W per luminaire to 22W – a reduction in energy costs of 64%.
- Further reductions were then achieved on this set up by daylight harvesting, movement detectors and using the dimming options – further reductions in energy costs of 25%.
- In the global distribution older works office, we designed and supplied an LED gear tray with DALI drivers and Opal diffusers – these changes reduced the energy consumption from 120W per fitting to 44W before the daylight and movement savings were added.
- Specialist applications – Pharmaceutical cabinet lighting for cancer drugs – we designed and provided 58W, 10,000 lumen replacement LED gear trays complete with wireless dimmable derivers to meet a 2,000 lux criteria (required by the US Federal Drug Agency) while allowing the operator to control the light level within the cabinet to ensure their comfort and safety. This resulted in a 100% increase in light level and over 50,000 hours of life for the luminaires supplied.
