The XYLUX LR4 is a versatile recessed emergency LED luminaire designed to deliver reliable emergency illumination across a wide range of commercial and public environments. Supplied with three interchangeable snap-fit optics, it can be configured for Open Area, Escape Route, or Emphasis Point applications, allowing a single fitting to meet multiple emergency lighting requirements.

Each unit is equipped with Mackwell's innovative articulated control gear, providing enhanced installation flexibility and simplifying maintenance. Its adaptable design makes it suitable for numerous indoor settings, including office spaces, corridors, stairwells, circulation areas, and other escape routes.

Emergency lighting regulations require luminaires to be positioned within two metres of critical safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, alarm call points, and first aid stations. Certain locations also require a higher illumination level of up to 5 lux. Conventional wide-angle open area optics can often struggle to achieve these levels efficiently.

To address this challenge, the XYLUX LR4 incorporates a dedicated Emphasis Point optic, engineered to provide focused illumination directly where it is needed most. At the same time, it maintains excellent light distribution to surrounding areas, enabling wider spacing between fittings while helping designers achieve compliance without compromising aesthetics or performance.
